CEPSAF is a nonpartisan, non-profit international (academic) centre dedicated to advancing academic and educational research for peace and security in Afghanistan (and the broader region), two commodities that ordinary Afghans have longed for decades. We believe lasting peace and security are only possible when global and regional powers implement policies that promote stability within Afghanistan and across the broader region. The stability of Afghanistan is equally vital for ensuring peace and security within the region and internationally.
Given Afghanistan’s crucial role in regional and international stability, CEPSAF focuses on the strategies of the US, NATO, Pakistan, Iran, India, Russia, and key countries from Central Asia and the Greater Middle East toward Afghanistan, as well as Afghanistan’s foreign policy toward these nations.
To maintain focus, CEPSAF concentrates on significant historical turning points in recent Afghan history, such as the Soviet Union and US interventions and the Taliban takeover. Our goal is to provide a detailed analysis of the causal factors behind these events, seeking to uncover the truth and help Afghans and others avoid repeating past mistakes.
Ultimately, CEPSAF’s research and analysis aim to inform policymakers and practitioners, thereby fostering regional stability. Our vision is a future in which Afghan nationals and their regional neighbours can travel, work, and live freely within the region without needing a visa or work permit, much like the European Union model.
At CEPSAF, we are fully GDPR compliant. We are also committed to upholding copyright law and preventing plagiarism. All our research and analysis adhere to the highest academic standards, utilising credible sources that are always properly referenced. Our visuals primarily feature free-to-use images from Pexels and Pixabay.
CEPSAF strongly opposes publications that promote war, hatred, violence, extremism, racism, discrimination, division, or conspiracy theories. For more details, please visit our ‘Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and Disclaimer’ page.
